Description The Downtown Family YMCA opened its doors in 1964 and has since been a landmark in the Downtown Boise area. The facility has a full court basketball gym, a large cardio fitness center, multiple strength training systems and rooms, racquetball courts, a climbing wall, five fitness studios, three swimming pools, and multiple youth programming areas.

Certified Personal Trainer is responsible for managing and developing health and well-being programs for individual clients or small groups.
Responsibilities: - Develop intentional relationships and, using the Y voice attributes, engage members to deepen their relationship to the Y Cause.
- Actively use Listen First skills to determine realistic and appropriate goals that improve the health and wellbeing of participants.
- Use member engagement skills to achieve individual enrollment goals and respond to requests within 24 hours.
- Conduct personal training sessions in an inclusive, fun, innovative, and safe manner with the scope of practice that results in participants achieving the two Cause Measurement goals.
- Record all required information to ensure accurate billing and tracking.
- Conducts and organizes personal training sessions for individuals or groups.
- Builds specific programs for individuals or groups based on the intake interview and ongoing evaluation.
- Actively listens to members, makes suggestions, and follows up to help support members' in reaching their fitness goals.
Qualifications: - Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
- Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Schedule: This is a part time position averaging 10-20 hours a week. Schedule requirements vary from morning, afternoon and evening with weekends possible.
Required Certifications: - Personal Trainer Certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NETA, NSCA, or NFPT). Prerequisite upon hire.
- CPR/AED. Prerequisite upon hire - 14-day compliance period.
