Education Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Experience No prior experience required Skills Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques. Implements and progresses treatment plan as prescribed by the supervising therapist, utilizing a wide variety of treatment approaches that encompass the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, educational, leisure, age specific and discharge needs. Demonstrates quality and timely documentation that supports the necessity of skilled service and accuracy of billing. Collaborates with supervising therapist regarding treatment progression and updates evaluating OT on a regular basis. Effectively treats a full variety of patient diagnoses encountered within scope of practice environment. Employee meets established productivity standard for department / position. Works to achieve an exceptional patient experience by demonstrating adaptability with patient interaction and treatment approach with considerations for the patient's age, cognitive and psychosocial status, physical condition, and level of motivation.
