Your Role as a COTA: - Implement individualized IEP goals and objectives to support fine motor skills, perceptual motor skills, self-care, sensory integration, play activities, and neuromuscular function.
- Provide occupational therapy interventions that address student needs and encourage progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, related service professionals, school district personnel, outside service providers, and families to design and deliver appropriate services.
- Apply behavior management strategies, demonstrating knowledge of student privileges and responsibilities.
- Complete and submit quarterly Progress Reports, providing updates to parents/guardians and school districts.
- Manage occupational therapy supplies and equipment, ordering additional supplies or sensory devices as needed/requested.
- Travel to multiple school locations as necessary, maintaining daily billing logs aligned with IEP service guidelines
Required Qualifications: - Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, multidisciplinary team members, and other personnel involved in child's educational/behavioral program.
- Must have knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents.
- Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must display a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must hold valid PA Occupational Therapy Assistant professional license
