COTAs bring therapy to life through daily connection with residents, helping them find confidence and function in everyday tasks. Their hands-on support, guided by close communication with OTs and the care team, helps create consistent progress and meaningful moments of independence.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements and Responsibilities
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current state license and NBCOT certification (as applicable)
Experience in long-term care or rehab preferred
Provide therapy under OT supervision following care plans
Record resident participation and changes in condition accurately
Follow state and physician documentation guidelines
