AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is hiring a PRN Certified Nursing Assistants/Unit Secretary for Day Shifts. The CNA assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The Unit Secretary is responsible for organizing and maintaining medical records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as perform clerical duties associated with the position. Sends, receives, and processes information in a clear, accurate, and courteous manner. Initiate directions from physicians and nursing staff. Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Shift Differentials are paid for Weekend Shifts. Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Current BLS certification. Minimum of six months to one year of related work experience. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication. Additional languages desirable. Basic computer knowledge Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
