Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. The CNA works under the supervision of nursing staff and plays a key role in supporting patient health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration)
- Help patients with toileting needs and maintain personal hygiene
- Turn, reposition, and transfer patients using proper body mechanics
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with feeding and monitor food and fluid intake
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Document care provided accurately in patient records
