Job Summary:
As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing routine daily nursing care and services to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with our nursing team to implement care plans and provide compassionate support.
Essential Duties:
- Provide direct resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning of residents.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant resident information.
- Report any changes in resident condition to the nursing supervisor or charge nurse.
- Maintain a clean and organized resident environment.
- Ensure resident safety and comfort at all times.
- Respond promptly to resident calls and requests.
- Assist with meal service and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Document all care provided accurately and timely.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and in-service training as required.
- Assist with restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
- Observe and report skin conditions and potential pressure areas.
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
- Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification in accordance with state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move residents as needed.
- CPR certification preferred.
