Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Hours: 40 per week 8 hours per day
No weekends, holidays, or on-call
Job Summary:
Pride Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Neurology team in Neptune, NJ. This role supports clinical care under the direction of a licensed nurse or medical practitioner and assists with administrative tasks in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare exam and treatment rooms, including supplies and instruments
Assist with patient preparation for exams and procedures
Record patient vital signs in medical records
Operate and maintain clinical equipment appropriately
Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus tests, UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and lab tests (after checklist completion)
Maintain patient records and assist with filing and billing
Use office software and systems for scheduling, documentation, and communication
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, adapting to individual needs
Support additional administrative duties and projects as needed
Adhere to Hackensack Meridian Health standards and behaviors
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a fast-paced setting
Proficient in data entry and computer systems
Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a medical assistant role (REQUIRED)
Education & Certification Requirements:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
One of the following CMA/RMA certifications:
CMA - NHA, NCCT, AAMA
RMA - AMT, NAHP
NCMA - NCMA
AMCA
Preferred:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 5 lbs., push/pull 10 lbs., and stand for 6+ hours per day
