Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) is under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN and is delegated assignments by the RN/LPN to achieve quality Resident care. The C.N.A. is organizationally accountable to the Director of Nursing. The C.N.A. is responsible for assisting the RN/LPN by performing routine direct care duties to achieve quality Resident care. The C.N.A. shall demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to appropriately document the care provided to the Resident and communicate pertinent Resident information to the RN/LPN. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations:
- Performs routine resident care including assisting with meals, toileting help, positioning and assistance with all aspects of Activities of Daily Living.
- Assists nursing staff with transportation of residents to scheduled appointments.
- Maintains resident's dignity and privacy at all times and in all aspects of care.
- Performs daily task and unexpected task as they arise, within scope of practice in a polite and professional manner.
- Displays professional behavior both at work that will reflect positively on facility and organization.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Experience:
Minimum 6 months experience as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Certified Nurse Aid Certificate
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below
