TRC Talent is Hiring a Process Team Shift Lead in White, GA
Job Purpose
The Shift Leader of Cell Production oversees the manufacturing process for solar cell production. This role coordinates daily activities, ensuring operations follow standard procedures. Responsibilities include optimizing efficiency, minimizing equipment downtime, and maximizing production output. The Shift Leader also manages materials, safety training, and production improvement activities, supporting the Team Leader and Production Engineers to meet key performance goals.
Schedule
Training Schedule: Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM (2 months+)
After Training Schedule: 6AM-6:30PM on a 2-2-3 Swing Shift
Pay $29.50/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Review:
- Identify causes of performance decline and implement improvements.
- Monitor wafer progress and ensure production quality.
- Execute Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAP) when necessary.
- Materials Management:
- Oversee usage of consumables and production materials.
- Manage cleaning supplies and laundry coordination.
- Request purchases and report disposal of unused materials.
- Labor Management:
- Assign operators and technicians as needed.
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conduct daily meetings with supervisors.
- Quality Control:
- Report abnormal quality trends.
- Coordinate quality improvement efforts with production.
- Develop plans to minimize human error-related issues.
- Safety:
- Address maintenance and safety concerns promptly.
- Assess safety responses and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain clean production environments per cleanroom standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Additional Responsibilities:
Act as Shift Supervisor when needed.
Collaborate with the Cell Equipment Team and other departments for maintenance.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Respond to factory emergencies related to power, water, fire, or security.
Communicate with all levels of the organization and external inspectors.
Regularly update supervisors on operational progress
Job Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate's degree in science or a related Engineering field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in manufacturing process engineering.
- 1+ years in a leadership role.
- 1+ years in production management.
- Manufacturing plant experience preferred.
