CDL Driver

Job Title: CDL Driver - Class A

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) with a Class A license.
• Load and unload construction materials using appropriate equipment and techniques. (PHYSICAL LABOR )
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customer locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including invoices, delivery receipts, and logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with customers at delivery locations.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to organize and prepare orders for delivery.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or incidents encountered during deliveries to the appropriate parties.
• Occasionally, overnight stays may be required for certain routes.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safe driving practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, with varying hours depending on scheduled deliveries.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and DOT physical examination.
