CDL Driver Job Description
Lignetics, Inc. is in search of a skilled, Full-time CDL Class A Truck Drivers out of our New Hampshire location. Previous commercial driving experience required, with the ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions.
- Operate an 18-wheel tractor-trailer with automatic & manual transmissions.
- Responsible for daily completion of all required paperwork such as freight bills, load sheets, electronic logbooks, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and any other records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment being used (interior and exterior).
- Responsible for driving in accordance with federal regulations, normally in periods of up to Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas.
- 11 hours of driving followed by an off-duty period of at least ten consecutive hours
- Attend and participate in safety meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

CDL Driver Qualification / Education
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.
- Must have a minimum of 1-year previous tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Will need to have the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that would allow the communication and comprehension of job-related information, instructions, regulations, signs, maps, MSDS guidelines, required paperwork, memos, etc.
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance.
- Will need to meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation and have a valid DOT Medical Card.
- Will need to be able to frequently reach for freight at waist level and occasionally reach for freight above shoulder height or below waist level.
- Will need to be able to load and unload full trailers of freight. Loading and unloading is dependent upon the customer's requests.
