CBT Therapist - £40,000-£49,000 - Chelmsford, Essex
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic CBT Therapist to join our clients clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to clients presenting with a range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering both one-to-one and group sessions and contributing to the ongoing development of our therapeutic programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and formulate appropriate CBT treatment plans.
- Deliver structured, evidence-based CBT interventions to clients, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practice guidelines.
- Manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and coordinated care.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary.
- Provide psychoeducation and practical coping strategies to clients to promote self-management and recovery.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in line with BACP/BABCP guidelines.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision, team meetings, and CPD activities.
- Contribute to service development, including the creation of resources and therapeutic materials.
Essential Requirements:
- Recognized qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
- Full membership and accreditation (or working towards accreditation) with BACP/BABCP.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering structured CBT interventions in a clinical setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment and case formulation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate clinical records and preparing reports.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management protocols.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working with specific client groups (eg, children and young people, trauma, addiction).
- Training in additional therapeutic modalities (eg, ACT, DBT, EMDR).
- Experience in delivering group therapy or workshops.
- Digital therapy delivery experience (eg, video/online therapy platforms).
