Catholic Religious Education Coordinator $18-$23 p/h Scott, IL (AFB)

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated catholic Religious Education Coordinator to implement and oversee a comprehensive religious education program in line with the guidelines provided by the Priest, Air Force Chaplain Corps, and the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS).

This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.00-$23.00, under a 5-year contract as a 1099 contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate the catholic religious education program according to established guidelines.

Serve as the primary resource advisor for the community's catholic religious education.

Recruit and maintain a team of catechists and volunteers, ensuring their certification and training.

Develop and manage the annual budget and ministry plan.

Attend and contribute to pastoral council meetings and other relevant gatherings.

Stay updated on religious curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Ensure compliance with ecclesiastical, canonical, and liturgical norms.

The Person

AMS certified (or willing to obtain certification within one year).

At least one year of experience in coordinating religious education.

Bachelors degree in theology, religious studies, education, or a related field is preferred.

Proficient in catholic religious education and liturgical practices.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
