Cath Lab Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in telemetry, emergency medicine, and possess knowledge of anatomy, sonography, radiology, lab procedures, cardiac catheterization, aseptic techniques, and physiology.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab
Assist physicians during procedures such as angioplasty, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions
Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with conscious sedation
Operate imaging equipment to visualize the heart and blood vessels
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements
Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Radiologic Technologist (RT)
Proficiency in using aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile fields
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
