About the job:
10-hour shifts, varying start times. Usual is 7a but could vary between 6a-8a
On-call requirement approx. 12-14 days per month-could be a little more or a little less.
Includes approximately 2 weekend on call per month.
LESS THAN 30 min response to on call
Must have Cath Lab experience and helpful if have done Interventional Radiology, Pacemakers,
Vascular.
Helpful if worked with Epic and Change Healthcare/McKesson CVIS
Must have experience circulating and helpful if experienced at monitoring
Includes working also in Pre/post-cath Cath Lab area
It is helpful if experienced with TEE and CV procedures, etc.

Duties:
- Job Function 1: Assessment skills. Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth
and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately. Performs
thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate.
- Job Function: 02. Clinical Skills. Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills. Performs
direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Provides
competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit. Demonstrates knowledge
and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Job Function: 03. Documentation. Maintains complete and accurate documentation.
Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines. Assumes primary responsibility for
documenting components of the nursing process and patients progress toward meeting
outcomes in the patient's chart, including patient education.
- Job Function: 04. Professionalism. Demonstrates professional practice responsibility.
Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures and is able to identify areas for clinical and
professional growth.
- Job Function: 5. Patient Satisfaction. Consistently responds to patients/families and co-
workers in a professional, courteous, positive manner to promote an environment where the
patient and family are at the center and the patient care team works cooperatively toward their
goal and objectives. Maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Job Function: 06. Safety. Consistently follows the National Patient Safety goals, including
following Universal Protocol and identifying patients utilizing 2 patient identifiers. Demonstrates
use of safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patient.
- Job Function: 07. Unit Specific Job Function. Demonstrates knowledge of the
conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patients.
Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the
continuum of care. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions.
- Job Function: 08. Responsibility and Accountability. Contributes to the perioperative team by
assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care by prioritizing the care of
patients depending on their needs and any changes in their condition.
- Job Function: 09. Patient Education and Chart Completion. Assesses patient. Understanding of
surgical procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching.
Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
- Job Function: 10. Duties Specific to PAT RN: Supports the completion of patient testing in a
timely manner. Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and for
potential omissions based on proposed surgery, patient age, and current state of health.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
