Schmidt's Restaurant und Sausage Haus is looking for enthusiastic, high energy, host and carry out team members who enjoy a challenge. Full-time and part time hours available. Our family owned and operated business has over 130 years in the food service industry.
General responsibilities - Job overview
Catering Servers
- Packs and preps for caterings
- Setting up for events
- Maintain a neat, organized environment
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- Greeting and interacting with customers
- Learn food and beverage menu
- Assist with payment handling if needed
- Additional responsibilities as requested by the management team
- Basic serving duties: pouring water, clearing plates, maintaining buffet
Qualifications
- Experience helpful, but not required
- A drive for excellence and a desire to exceed guest expectations
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- High standards of Cleanliness, hygiene, uniform presentation, and safety
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and work 8-10-hour shifts
- Ability to lift 40 pounds to chest height
- Organized, friendly, upbeat, energetic, positive, and outgoing
- Open availability for shifts Monday - Sunday including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays (we are closed Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving)
