Full Time Catering Manager, Grappino
Grappino is seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to oversee and grow our catering operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team to deliver memorable culinary experiences. The Catering Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing catering events, while ensuring top-notch service and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
-Event Planning: Coordinate all aspects of catering events, including menu selection, budgeting, staffing, equipment rental, and logistics to ensure seamless execution.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service; conduct site visits to understand client needs and preferences.
- Team Leadership: Supervise catering staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high standards of service and food quality.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to create innovative and appealing menus tailored to client preferences and event themes.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage catering budgets, prepare cost estimates, and ensure profitability for each event.
- Quality Control: Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; conduct regular quality checks during events.
- Marketing & Sales: Assist in the marketing of catering services, participate in sales presentations, and contribute to growing the catering business.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise before, during, or after events, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all parties involved.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of event details, client feedback, and team performance; generate reports for management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering management or related hospitality field.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related computer software.
- Flexible schedule; willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
