Located in the heart of West Palm Beach, our resort will feature 150 elegantly designed rooms and villas, multiple exquisite restaurants, a world-class spa, and a stunning golf course. Imagine yourself in a meaningful role as a Catering Event Manager, that will contribute to the successful launch of what is soon to be the newest luxury resort in West Palm Beach with one of the highest ranked Golf experiences in Florida. Your contribution will be crucial in implementing our brand's service strategy, enhancing every guest experience-from exclusive executive retreats to stylish intimate weddings.

About The Belgrove:
The Belgrove is a luxury resort, part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott International, with elegant indoor and outdoor event spaces in the heart of West Palm Beach. We will offer top tier catering and event services for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and other special occasions. We are known for our exceptional customer service, exquisite cuisine, and attention to detail, which help make every event memorable.

Job Summary:
The Catering and Events Services Manager will be responsible for selling, planning, coordinating, and executing events at The Belgrove. This role requires a strong background in sales & event management, catering operations, and client relations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about exceeding sales goals and delivering exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of events, from initial client consultations to event execution and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and preferences, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Develop detailed event proposals, timelines, and budgets for clients.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to design menus that meet the client's preferences and dietary needs.
  • Manage logistics, including setup, vendor coordination, staffing, and ensuring that all events are delivered to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with banquet event staff, ensuring smooth operations during events and managing any issues that arise.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all events.
  • Handle client feedback and concerns professionally, ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and grow the events business.
  • Strategically solicit business in alignment with individual and team goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and innovate to keep The Belgrove's offerings competitive and appealing.
  • Maintain accurate records of events, contracts, and financials for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, or a related field (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets and expand market share
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in event planning and catering sales & management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of Group Management Systems with CI/TY ideal to have
  • Knowledge of other event management software like Social Tables
  • Knowledge of lead management systems like CVENT, Wedding Wire & The Knot
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and attend industry events as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, based on event schedules.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures
  • Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible after successful Human Resource checks
