Salted Melon will offer fast casual all-day breakfast and lunch. We offer customers a full-service dining experience with an expanded dinner menu after 4pm and on weekends. In addition, Salted Melon will have an espresso bar, bakery, retail market, fresh grab n go, bone broth bar, and cocktail bar.
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Associate to join our team. The Catering Associate will report directly to the Catering Sales Manager. The position will be tasked with preparing and delivering catering orders. The Catering Associate will also be responsible for overseeing market operations during designated shifts, when catering is not busy.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all catering orders are prepared correctly
Assist with daily catering deliveries
Welcoming guest to the Salted Melon with positive vibes.
Overseeing staff throughout shift
Opening and closing
Assisting in ordering
Taking breakfast, lunch, and espresso orders
Making delicious expresso drinks and smoothies
Running and expediting food
Package to-go and catering orders accurately and efficiently
Assist guests with allergy and dietary restrictions by answering questions about our menu, making appropriate suggestions
Maintain a stocked, clean, and welcoming dining room, following all safety and sanitation procedure
Train new employees on company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry
- Strong sales skills with a focus on achieving targets
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
