Job Summary
This position is responsible for curriculum workflow management, maintaining curriculum data in the student information system (Banner), and annual revision of the undergraduate and graduate academic catalog using a catalog software (WaterMark/SmartCatalog). Additionally, the position requires development of data collection and reporting key metrics related to registrar functions (SQL). Reports directly to the Assistant Registrar with a dotted line to the University Registrar.
Responsibilities
Works Collaboratively to Complete Catalog Assignments (60%) -
Responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely transmission of data from the curriculum management workflow system (Watermark/Smart Catalog)
Builds curricular data into the student information system (Banner)
Coordinates with Academic Affairs and other divisions of the University for annual revision of the academic catalog using catalog management software
Assist with Data Coordination and Organization (40%) -
Act as the technical expert for student records management systems
Generate reports and queries using SQL developer to assist with Registrar related functions including but not limited to student enrollment trends and tracking, academic performance, graduation indicators, end of term processing, and other key metrics used in the various points of academic cycle
Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, ensuring data integrity and compliance with FERPA regulations
Assist in development of data efficiencies and streamline procedures both for backend staff users and front-end procedures for student registration
Performs related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
The completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Other Required Qualifications
Advanced knowledge in student information systems (Ellucian Banner or other SIS) or database management
Advanced knowledge of developing reports and queries using SQL
Required Experience
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for two to three years.

Three to Five years work experience in higher education or database management

Knowledge of Student Information Systems.
Knowledge of university transcript, catalog, course, and policy review procedures.
Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements.
Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Knowledge of transfer credit policies and procedures.
Skill in the operation of computers and use of software programs.
Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
Skill in oral and written communication.
