Casting Engineer
We are partnered with a great company seeking a Casting Engineer to lead critical quality initiatives and provide technical expertise that ensures excellence in our casting operations. This individual will take ownership of quality assurance processes, certification maintenance, and support for technical quoting, all while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for developing and managing systems that uphold high product standards and drive operational efficiency. From improving process controls to troubleshooting quality issues, the Casting Engineer will work closely with multiple departments to support successful production outcomes and maintain industry compliance.
Core Responsibilities
Drive projects focused on reducing defects, improving consistency, and raising overall product quality.
Manage quality control programs and ensure adherence to applicable standards and certifications (such as ISO 9001).
Design and implement quality documentation, including inspection plans, test procedures, and process workflows.
Partner with teams across engineering, sales, and production to resolve technical challenges and enhance product outcomes.
Ensure seamless introduction of new parts, aligning quality requirements from prototype through production.
Perform routine audits, gather and evaluate performance data, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Execute additional quality and compliance tasks as required.
Qualifications
Background in investment casting or equivalent casting technologies.
Knowledge of metallurgical principles and ability to create and analyze process flow documentation.
Proficient in reading and understanding technical and engineering drawings.
Practical experience in manufacturing; familiarity with SolidWorks and foundry operations is highly beneficial.
