In this pivotal role, you will engage with customers, manage transactions at the registers, stock shelves, ensure store cleanliness, and provide excellent service to every shopper. Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50

Duties and Responsibilities:
All tasks can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with your leader.
  • Safeguard the security and confidentiality of documents and data in your area.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Cash Handling Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently process customer purchases and uphold cleanliness in the store.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, aiding shoppers in their experience.
  • Provide management with feedback on products, inventory discrepancies, and other concerns.
  • Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere strictly to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.
Stock Management Responsibilities:
  • Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness for customers.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to create appealing displays.
  • Organize new stock and dismantle empty packaging.
  • Operate machinery safely and follow all safety guidelines.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move throughout the store. Stockers must be able to stock merchandise and lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide courteous and prompt customer service.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness to company standards.
  • Understand and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Knowledge of ALDI products and services.
Additional Requirements for Cashiers:
Must confidently operate a cash register and comply with local laws for selling alcoholic beverages.

Additional Requirements for Stockers:
Must be available for morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail experience is a plus, or a combination of education and experience providing the necessary knowledge.
