HOW A CLOUD DEVELOPER (SENIOR) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT At GDIT, people are our differentiators. Supporting this federal government customer, you will be trusted to develop cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS). In this role, a typical day will include: Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
Analyze applications and make recommendations across multiple area that identify what platforms can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment.
Providing strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services.
Responsible for developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, debugging cloud stacks, managing policies for the use of cloud services, requests for new technology, establishing a secure cloud environment, ensuring appropriate availability/uptime design.
Working independently while designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 7+ years of experience: With major cloud service providers (i.e: Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google)
Performing significant research and development efforts or managing programs requiring comprehensive and innovative technical solutions, development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or a comparable high availability environment
Deploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Azure ARMs Templates
Implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments
Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes
Establishing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for cloud resources
Optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance and availability
Security Clearance Level: Current Top Secret eligibility required for consideration and obtaining additional SCI eligibility is required to start and maintain employment on this program
