SUMMARY
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Solano County recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer advocates who provide one-on-one advocacy for foster children. CASA is now seeking two full-time exceptional Case Advocate Supervisors to join its Program Team and provide ongoing education, support, and supervision to our volunteer advocates. The Case Advocate Supervisors are also responsible for the administrative case management of open court cases assigned to their caseload of volunteer advocates.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
In collaboration with the Program Manager, assign volunteer advocates to cases
Create case plans and support first visits with assigned children
Supervise and support volunteer advocates throughout their case, including by preparing for court hearings and trials, reviewing draft court reports, and offering trouble-shooting and emotional support
Attend court hearings
Locate needed services for CASA children
Manage administrative aspects of cases, including interacting with court officials, submitting court reports, and ensuring that volunteers adhere to CASA best practices
Serve as one of CASA's emergency contacts outside of regular office hours
Maintain up-to-date case records using in-house database
Attend and co-lead quarterly trainings for new volunteer advocates
Attend CASA events as needed and requested
Serve as a key member of the CASA team, including by participating in regular staff meetings and completing other tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to culturally diverse backgrounds
Ability to work independently, but also under general supervision while making decisions based on established procedures
Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to adapt to a changing environment with the capability to respond to and manage crises with a professional, calm, mindful, and respectful approach
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare accurate reports
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
Strong oral and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette
Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365
Ability to work within the CASA database

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
2 years of related experience in Human Services or service as a CASA volunteer
Working knowledge of the juvenile and child welfare system, or social services, is a plus
Criminal justice fingerprint clearance
Valid driver's license
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
Physically able to lift and/or move supplies or equipment
Job Title: Case Advocate Supervisor
Reports To: Program Manager
Salary: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt, 40 hrs per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Location: Hybrid - 600 Union Ave, Fairfield, CA 94533 (some remote work possible)
