ITS is looking for an experienced Carpenter Foreman. A Carpenter Foreman manages all aspects of on-site construction for water and sewer projects, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to quality and safety standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Concrete Forming Systems: Work with both gang forms and hand-set forms for civil and structural concrete projects.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to guide project execution.
  • Team Coordination: Organize and manage crew members and subcontractors, ensuring proper allocation of materials and equipment.
  • Supervision: Oversee self-performed work, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to project requirements.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor subcontractors' work to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with project specifications.
  • Contract Documentation: Understand and work within contract requirements, including project plans, specifications, addendums, and scope of work.
  • Work Planning: Develop comprehensive work plans based on construction documents to ensure smooth coordination of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Skill Utilization: Collaborate with the superintendent to assign tasks based on each worker's strengths and qualifications, including equipment operation.
  • Site Inspections: Assess field conditions to identify potential issues, inaccuracies, and opportunities for cost-saving improvements.
  • Project Cost Review: Analyze cost estimates and accurately code activities on timesheets, material reports, equipment logs, and other required documentation.
  • Performance Assessment: Provide feedback to the superintendent on team performance and productivity.


Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Understanding of building codes and regulations
  • Familiarity with company policies and industry best practices
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with federal and state regulations


Job Site Safety Responsibilities:

  • Complete OSHA 30-hour safety training and participate in all required safety meetings
  • Enforce safety protocols, including toolbox talks, site-specific safety plans, fall protection measures, trench shoring, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment
  • Follow proper reporting procedures for safety and personnel matters
