Tallahassee State College is thrilled to announce a full-time grant-funded opening for the position of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program Quality Analyst-1, P10976 with the Florida Department of Education, Division of Career and Adult Education. What You'll Do
The primary responsibilities of the Career and Technical Education Program Analyst is the support of the Department's CTE program quality evaluation and assisting efforts around championing best practices related to workforce education and new program development. The analyst serves as an integral staff member for carrying out the program quality review, also referred to as the CTE Program Quality Audit or the CTE Audit. The analyst will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program quality across secondary and postsecondary education sectors in Florida and is responsible for assisting with the implementation of all phases of the review; providing support in the collection, summary, and analysis of qualitative and descriptive quantitative data related to educational and occupational topic areas; helping manage projects and coordinate meetings with internal and external education, state agency and industry stakeholders; and contributing to the development of a framework that aligns quality CTE programs with state, regional, or local high-skill, high-wage or in-demand industry sectors.


Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assist in the management, tracking, and analysis of local reviews of CTE programs. Identify and manage the technology solution platform for local CTE program review reports. Investigate and recommend technology solutions for other tasks as needed. Manage communications with stakeholders including the coordination and transcription of meetings with stakeholders.

  • Develop and present presentations for stakeholders. Possess knowledge and ability to summarize meetings and publish summary documents. Create technical assistance documents for specific tasks and projects. Conduct and write literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, and summaries of relevant literature to inform the development emerging CTE programs. Investigate and summarize emerging topics, reports, and research in relevant fields. Develop talking points and briefings for Statewide reports and Senior Leadership.

  • Review, advise, and evaluate data for State of Florida grant funding. Perform descriptive quantitative and qualitative analyses of data. Generate and deploy online surveys. Generate interview question guides and conduct in-person interviews and focus groups. Review and interpret program inventories. Have and utilize operational knowledge of website analysis. Ability to interpret and co-write rule development laws for the State.

  • Track status of current projects and priorities. Develop and update an inventory and provide regular updates to program quality manager in written and oral/visual presentation form. Plan convenings, including assistance with event logistics, documentation preparation, meetings with event host, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 1-2 years of related experience or

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 1-2 years of related experience or

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in education leadership or policy, program evaluation, public policy or administration, or a related field.
