A facility is seeking cardiothoracic surgery locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in upstate New York.
This is a cardiac surgery PA/NP position, starting ASAP and running through August, with credentialing taking about 45 days. The ideal candidate can work full-time, but the role is open to splitting the schedule between two candidates. Shifts are primarily 12-hour day shifts, with some flexibility3x12s and an 8-hour shift are possible for a 40-hour work week. Call is required twice a week, and weekends are 1:4 or 1:5. The role is at a level 1 trauma facility with 400 beds, using Epic for EMR and Maquet for EVH. The department averages 5-6 heart surgeries per week. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cardiac surgery and comfortable working in both the OR and on the CVICU floor. Credentialing can be expedited to 45 days if the provider acts quickly.
Dates Needed: March - Ongoing
Call Ratio/Schedule: 2x a week, 1:4/1:5 weekends
Case Load/PPD: 5-6 hearts/week
