A facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Northern Missouri.
The position is needed for relief coverage on February 38, March 38, and April 512. The hospital has 100 beds, is a Level 3 trauma center, and requires daily rounding in the CVICU/Stepdown, OR, and Wednesday afternoon clinics for follow-ups. Call includes seven nights per week and two weekends per month (Friday evening through Monday morning). Typical volume is 23 cases per week, and required procedures include endoscopic vein harvest, chest tube and pacer wire removal, arterial and central line placement, pacemaker management, and ventilated patient management. There are no TAVR, ECMO, heart transplant, VAD, vascular, or thoracic cases. The role is supported by one surgeon and one PA, using Allscripts for EMR and Maquet/Gettinge for EVH. Credentialing takes 68 weeks, and candidates must be a PA with a DEA license (assistance provided).
