PATIENT INFORMATION

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• In-Office Responsibilities:
• Evaluation and management of new and established patients
• Cardiac risk assessments
• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Holter monitor placements
• Pacemaker check clinic
• Hospital Responsibilities:
• Patient rounding
• Supervision of echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and nuclear stress testing
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Cardioversions
• Hospital Call:
• Includes patient rounding and consultations
• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM), averaging 6-10 patients per day
• Minimal nighttime phone calls, rare in-hospital visits required
• Emergency cases will either be admitted or stabilized for transfer
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active West Virginia License Required
• Board Certification: Required in Cardiology
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA Required
• Experience: Not specified
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide general cardiology care across hospital and office settings
• Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients
• Perform and supervise various cardiac diagnostic procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and patient safety standards
