Job Opportunity: Physician in Internal Medicine - Cardiology

We are seeking a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine - Cardiology to provide high-quality patient care at a prominent medical center in Pocatello, Idaho. The practice setting is primarily outpatient, with scheduled clinical hours and in-house call coverage. Job Responsibilities:
  • Cover 3 weeks a month, providing care in the outpatient clinic and taking General Call inpatient.
  • Work with the hospitalist team for cardiac consulting on assigned patients during call coverage.
  • Maintain a clinic schedule of Monday to Friday, with flexible hours (8am-5pm or 4 10-hour shifts).
  • Manage patient encounters, averaging 13-20 patients per day.
  • Respond to in-house call within a 20-minute timeframe.
  • Contribute to patient care rounds, with potential admissions of 2-3 patients.
  • Participate in collaborative care and consultations with fellow healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Cardiology is required.
  • Fellowship training in Cardiology is necessary.
  • Active provider license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine - Cardiology.
  • Hospital privileges are required.
  • Temporary privileges may not be available for this position.
