    • No weekends, no holidays, no call
    • Predictable work schedules Monday through Friday
    • Typical workweek consists of 2 inpatient days and 3 clinic days
    • Seeking a BC/BE general cardiologist to join 5 well-established excellent cardiologists and 5 nurse practitioners in our I-80 Ottawa/Peru based practice. Our cardiologists provide robust clinic coverage at two area hospitals, including OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center (Ottawa, IL Campus) and OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center (Peru Campus); satellite clinic opportunities available in Streator, IL, and Princeton, IL.
    • Providers commute from nearby Naperville, Plainfield, Burr Ridge, Oswego, or closer. Commute times are incorporated into expected work hours to maintain work-life balance
    • You will walk into a progressive practice that will be busy from day one with a primary care referral base of 300+ providers.
    • The cardiovascular service line consists over 55+ Cardiologists and surgeons. Expansive structural heart disease clinic, complex EP capabilities, interventional cardiology, and advanced HF with LVAD/transplant program.
    • Opportunity includes EKGs interpretation, echocardiography, TEE, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac CT (coming soon).
    • Subspecialty board certification in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, vascular imaging, or lifestyle medicine are all appreciated
    • Mentorship opportunities available for new/recent graduates from academically trained colleagues
    • OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center is a 97-bed acute care hospital in Ottawa, Illinois dedicated to providing quality health care since 1895. There has been a recent addition/acquisition to the Peru, IL Campus as well.
    • Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $530,000 $582,082.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in current state. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
