Cardiology Physician

Facility in Monroeville PA, seeking Cardiology locums coverage Rates: $375/hr Job Details:

• Start Date:
• December 28-29, 2024 (weekend inpatient rounder).
• Full-time coverage: January 2025 - July 2025.
• Schedule:
• Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
• No additional weekends after December 28-29.
• No on-call requirements.
• Reason for Coverage: Turnover vacancy.
• Responsibilities:
• Inpatient rounding and cardiology consults (shared with group and APPs).
• Supervise stress testing.
• Interpret echocardiograms, EKGs, Holter/event monitors, and stress tests.
• Respond to APP calls.

Credentialing Requirements:

• Estimated Timeframe: 60 days (expedited for December 28 start).
• Certifications:
• ACLS.
• BLS.
• Licensing:
• Active Pennsylvania license required.

Practice Details:

• Setting: Acute care hospital.
• Beds: 163.
• EMR Systems:
• Cerner Powerchart (required).
• EPIC (preferred).
• Support Staff:
• APP coverage available 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Shared caseload:
• Average inpatient census: 20-25/day.
• Average consults: 10/day.
• Typical Cases: CHF, chest pain, myocardial infarction, atrial fibrillation, hypertensive urgency.
