- Other Details: The facility is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and in-house call if needed. There are an average of Up to 22-24 patients per shift. This position seeks a locum cardiologist for primarily in-office coverage, five days per week, with a strong preference for full-time commitment (4 weeks/month) from one provider. Call is limited to Fridays during business hours (no nights or weekends), and EMMC cardiology is available for consults. Providers typically conduct 30-minute visits, with a base schedule of 14 patient visits per day across seven clinical hours and one hour for documentation; adjustments for urgent or follow-up needs are at the provider s discretion. Duties also include assisting with in-hospital consults and call coverage during clinic hours and interpretation of diagnostic studies such as echoes, stress tests, stress echoes, holters, event monitors, EKGs, nuclear medicine studies, and upcoming cardiac CTs. TEEs and cardioversions may be performed onsite when needed. On days the locum is the sole provider, a reduced clinic volume (%) is expected to accommodate study reviews and consults. Urgent/inpatient studies are prioritized, with the remaining diagnostics shared among the group throughout the day.
