Cardiologist Electrophysiologist Physician, MD/DO - Dothan, AL
Highly skilled and dedicated Electrophysiologist (EP Cardiologist) to join our team at a state-of-the-art Cath lab. This full-time, outpatient position offers the opportunity to work alongside two experienced cardiologists and two dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in providing comprehensive care for patients with a variety of electrophysiological conditions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about electrophysiology and have experience in performing EP studies, ablations, pacemaker implants, and heart failure device management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrophysiology studies, right and left-sided ablations, including AF (Atrial Fibrillation) and VT (Ventricular Tachycardia) ablations.
- Manage pacemakers, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) devices, and heart failure devices.
- Work with a dedicated team of cardiologists and APPs to deliver comprehensive care for patients with arrhythmias, heart failure, and other related cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for patients undergoing EP procedures.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, Holter monitoring, and electrophysiological studies to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with other specialists, including heart failure teams, to provide comprehensive care and improve patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to improve heart health and quality of life.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in electrophysiology and incorporate new techniques and technologies into patient care.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in cardiovascular disease and Electrophysiology.
- Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
- Extensive experience in performing EP studies, ablations (both right and left-sided), pacemaker implants, CRT device implantation, and heart failure device management.
- Strong diagnostic, procedural, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical and procedural environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest advancements in electrophysiology.
Preferred Skills:
- Fellowship training in Electrophysiology.
- Experience with advanced mapping and ablation technologies.
- Proficiency in managing complex arrhythmias and heart failure devices.
