Responsibilities The APN is a licensed professional nurse that works under the supervision and direction of collaborating physicians or the Medical Director for the Cardiovascular program; they provide direct, comprehensive, preventative and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, counseling and instruction in compliance with Nurse Practitioner Protocols and all regulations governing APNs. The APN may provide healthcare for which the APN is educationally prepared and for which competence has been attained and maintained. Responsible for all aspects of coordination of Hospitalist program including fiscal accountability, time and resources. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Current RNP and/or APN licensure in Arkansas.
- Completion of an accredited graduate program in nursing and preceptorship, including supporting documentation. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS certification (for in-patient setting) is preferred.
- Acute Care certification required
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration.
- Three to five years of clinical experience preferred. One year experience in an APN Role preferred.
