Job Opportunity: NP/PA - Cardiovascular in Coos Bay, OR
Join a dedicated team at a leading 127-bed Level III Trauma facility located in the beautiful and vibrant Coos Bay, Oregon. This hospital is the largest in the Southern Coast region and serves a catchment area of over 320,000 residents. We are seeking an additional Advanced Practice Caregiver to become a vital part of our collaborative and growing Cardiology service line, committed to providing exceptional care to our community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced clinical care to cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director.
- Participate in both clinic and cath lab hours with typical hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm for clinic and 6:00 am - 4:30 pm for the cath lab.
- Manage 15-18 outpatient clinic patients per day and 6-8 cath lab patients per day.
- Engage with a collegial team and participate in a customized orientation adapted to your skills.
- Rotate between hospital and clinic, with a focus on no weekends and no call requirements.
- Contribute to outreach services to critical access hospitals.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient management and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and think independently while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient cardiology experience (not including RN or training experience).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Demonstrated physical agility and ability to handle unexpected patient care needs.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current NP or PA license in Oregon (or willingness to obtain).
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Established ties to Oregon (family in the area or previous residency).
