Hospital looking to expand provider pool to fill in some scheduling holes. All-inclusive rates are preferred.

Job Details
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
Daily duties include hospital rounding, cardiology consults, EKG/ECHO report reads, and 2 4 hours of clinic patients Monday through Friday
Onsite hospitalists handle admissions; cardiologist is consulted as needed
Call type: Beeper; 30-minute response time required
Call coverage is 100%; phone consults: 0 10; patients seen: 0 10; admissions: 0 2 per day
EMR: McKesson Paragon
Facility is chest pain accredited
86-bed hospital
Support staff includes RNs and MAs provided by hospital, plus one office staff member

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
NC medical license required (no IMLC accepted)
ACLS certification required
Must be skilled in:
oInpatient and outpatient cardiology
oICU care
oNon-invasive cardiology, including:
Echocardiography
Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)
Nuclear cardiology (e.g., Cardiolite, Thallium)
STEMI management
Must be comfortable with hospital and clinic settings
Temporary privileges available
