Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for weekend call coverage. The provider will be responsible for call coverage (Friday evening to Monday) for interventional cardiology, including emergency catheterization procedures, as well as code R and invasive needs. The ideal candidate must be available for at least one weekend per month and be willing to cross-credential at 2 facilities. This position requires minimal travel and offers competitive compensation.
Responsibilities :
- On-call for interventional cardiology coverage, including emergency cath procedures
- Perform rounds (approx. 8 hours per day)
- Respond to telephone calls and beepers with a 30-minute response time
- Available for emergency situations requiring interventional care
- Work closely with APPs and non-invasive cardiologists (first call)
Schedule:
- Friday: 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM (night call)
- Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM (24-hour call)
- On-call availability for emergencies and procedures as needed
Requirements :
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
- Active Pennsylvania State License
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR
- Must be available to work at least 1 weekend per month
- DEA not required
- Must be able to respond promptly to emergency calls (30-minute response time)

- EMR/Charting: Epic
- Support Staff: APP and non-invasive cardiologist on call
- Typical Cases: Emergency cath procedures, interventional cardiology cases
