Western North Carolina - Outstanding Interventional Cardiology Opportunity
•  Permanent full time position
•  Rapidly expanding STEMI program (opened in 2021).
•  Enjoy a robust practice experiencing tremendous growth in cardiac cath and interventional volume, noninvasive testing, and outpatient practice volume.
•  New patient referrals have grown over 300% in the past 2 years.
•  In calendar year 2024 facility performed over 2000 diagnostic cath procedures and 300 PCI in a single state-of-the-art GE lab.
•  Facility has many of the conventional techniques you would find at larger institutions including OCT/IVUS, physiologic assessment with microvascular testing, Shockwave, and Impella.
•  The hospital has space to add another diagnostic/interventional coronary and peripheral lab as well as space for planned EP and hybrid labs.
•  Plans are to add an additional cath lab to serve the community needs and increasing demands.
•  Join three interventional cardiologists on staff, one of whom plans to transition to part-time in the fall of 2025.
•  We are looking for a third full-time BC IC with several years of experience in coronary and peripheral procedures.
•  You would be expected to participate in 1 in 3 STEMI call, cover hospital rounds/consultations and outpatient office time. Permanent pacemaker procedures are an option.
•  Practice at our main campus - not be expected to travel to either of the satellite offices
•  There are 3 noninvasive partners (soon to be 4 or 5).
•  The hospital has a dedicated APP who manages their cardiology inpatient service.
•  Practice also includes two vascular surgeons who perform endovascular procedures in a dedicated lab. One VS plans to retire in 2025 leaving an opportunity to fill the gap with our IC partners who are appropriately credentialed.
•  Open heart procedures are performed at tertiary referral centers in Asheville, Greenville, SC and Spartanburg, SC and the practice has excellent relationships with their EP partners.
