Locums - Grass Valley, California, Non-Invasive Cardiology Job Clinical Role:

• Schedule: 24 call 6a-6a
• EMR: Cerner
• Reason for Coverage: ER Call
• Setting: Inpatient
• Admissions per Day: Average 3-4 consults, Supervised stress tests: 4-8, Echo's: 5-12
• Duties: Consult patient in ED and inpatients, collaborate with Hospitalists and Specialists, Supervise Stress Tests (Pharmacological /Exercise), Interpret OP and INPT Echocardiology, Holter, Event Monitors
• Optional /Ideal Procedures: Ideal Candidate can perform TEE; optional - Transvenous pacing, tilt table interpretation
• Types of Cases: Typical "non-interventional" community hospital cardiology cases
• Residency requirements/ Fellowship- Current certification in Internal Medicine and active participation in the certification process leading to added qualifications
• in cardiovascular medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine to be achieved within five (5) years of completion of residency training, or;
• Successful completion of an accredited fellowship training program in cardiovascular medicine during which at least three years were devoted to cardiovascular medicine
• Hospital privileges, the provider must have privileges at a Joint Commission (or equivalent) accredited hospital for two of the last four years
• Support Staff- Cardiology Manager, Echocardiographers and Cardiology Technicians
• Board Certified Internal Medicine or Cardiology or BE within 5 years - Required
• CA license - Required
• Clean malpractice background - Highly Preferred
• Local - Highly Preferred
