JOB SUMMARY: The Heart Failure Specialist will assist the Medical Director with the Heart Failure Program in the Lee Health System. The Heart Failure Specialist, in collaboration with the Heart Failure Medical Director, Lead Heart Failure Program Coordinator and the Medical Director of Heart and Vascular Institute, will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Heart Failure Program. The Heart Failure Specialist is responsible for assisting the Heart Failure Medical Director, Lead Heart Failure Program Coordinator, and Medical Director of Heart and Vascular Institute in the accomplishment of the organizations mission and vision. The Heart Failure Specialist will also assist in meeting the requirements established by the American College of Cardiology, American Hospital Association, Medicare reimbursement guidelines, requirements for DNV accreditation, and other groups/organizations that establish guidelines for the proper diagnosis and management of heart failure patients. Duties will include organizational/administrative tasks to further advance System-wide care, as well as clinical duties. Clinical duties will/may include: consultation (and some follow-up) of complex heart failure, cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension (inpatient and outpatient); team-based rounding; collaboration with the structural heart and CV Surgery teams in management of complex cases.

State of Florida Licensure Requirements: Licensure to practice medicine in the State of Florida
Certifications/Registration Requirements: Board Certified/Eligible in Heart Failure and Transplant
