Job Overview The interventional cardiologist will play a key role in seeing inpatient and clinic patients, participating in the cardiac Cath Lab schedule, covering an imaging rotation, and sharing general and interventional on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities - Provide care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients.
- Rotate into the cardiac Cath Lab schedule and imaging rotation.
- Share on-call responsibilities for both general and interventional cardiology.
- Perform interventional cardiology procedures, including:
- Intracoronary stents, balloon angioplasty, and thrombectomy.
- Rotational atherectomy and IVUS-guided procedures.
- Coronary angiograms, ventriculography, and hemodynamic assessments.
- Intra-aortic balloon pump catheter insertion and management.
- Opportunity to request special privileges, such as peripheral vascular angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and endovascular grafts.
- Maintain high clinical standards, exercise critical thinking, and demonstrate effective judgment in patient care.
Qualifications - Board Certification in Internal Medicine Required
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology or Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Cardiology by the AOBIM Required
- Active OR medical license or willingness to obtain Required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an interventional cardiologist Required
- Demonstrated competency in at least 150 percutaneous coronary interventional procedures in the past 24 months Required
- Continuing education in interventional cardiology Required
- Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates
