We are actively interviewing for a Board-Certified Cardiologist to expand cardiovascular health services for our growing practice.

Responsibilities:

  • The Cardiologist is a dynamic and flexible individual who is licensed/board certified. This professional will play a key role in providing direct patient care and assessments.
  • Provides excellent cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting.
  • Follows level of medical care and quality for patients and monitors care using available data and chart reviews.
  • Management of chronic cardiovascular diseases includes ordering appropriate imaging or lab tests and recommending treatment plans as indicated by the patient's clinical needs.
  • Perform accurate interpretation of lab tests, EKG, and echocardiograms, arterial and venous vascular studies, exercise stress test, stress echo, nuclear stress tests.
  • Staying up to date on the latest research into cardiovascular medicine.
  • Consults with and coaches primary care providers about management of cardiovascular disease and best practices.
  • Participates in rotating coverage for after-hours urgent phone calls (minimal) from patients.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Current and unrestricted medical license or willing to obtain a medical license in the state of North Carolina.
  2. Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university.
  3. Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology in ACGME approved programs.
  4. Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiology).
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Demonstrate a high level of skill in interpersonal relationships and communication with colleagues/patients.
  7. Fully engaged in the concept of Integrated team-based care model.
  8. Superior patient/customer service.
  9. Basic computer skills, including email and EMR. We use Athena.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 2 years' experience working Full time as a cardiologist.
  2. Exceptional attention to detail.
  3. Outstanding research and analytical skills.
  4. Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
