Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Set and implement strategic objectives for carbon management across all projects, influencing company-wide practices and policies.
- Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on carbon footprint assessments, reduction strategies, and compliance measures.
- Innovation and Research: Drive research efforts, stay ahead of industry trends, and incorporate new technologies and methodologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead engagement with clients, regulators, industry partners, and communities to foster collaborative relationships.
- Project Oversight: Manage and mentor a team of carbon and sustainability professionals, ensuring project alignment with strategic goals.
- Compliance and Reporting: Oversee environmental regulation compliance and accurate reporting on carbon performance.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities in carbon management and sustainability consulting.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Sweco at industry forums, conferences, and publications.

London, Leeds, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Engineering, or related fields.
- Professional Experience: 15+ years in carbon management, sustainability consulting, or environmental engineering, with proven leadership.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of carbon footprinting tools, environmental regulations, and standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to develop insights and plans from complex data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to influence and inspire.
- Project Management: Experience managing large projects, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder coordination.
- Willingness to travel across the UK.
