Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipwright to join our clients team in crafting and building small flat boats. This role involves working primarily with carbon fiber materials, with prior experience in hard fiberglass is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Construct, repair, and maintain small flat boats using carbon fiber and fiberglass materials.
Shape, cut, and fit materials to precise specifications for small, lightweight boats.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for repairs and construction.
Ensure precision and quality in all aspects of boat building and repair.
Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in boat building or in a similar role.
Hands-on expertise with carbon fiber or fiberglass materials.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment specific to small boat construction.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Familiarity with lightweight boat construction techniques.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with small flat boats, carbon fiber, or hard fiberglass.
Knowledge of composite material handling and lightweight boat-building practices.
