We are looking for a
Capital Markets Business Analyst II - Business Enablement Operation in Charlotte, NC. Essential Functions: - Collaborate with teams across Derivative Trading/Sales Front Office, Technology & Operations Services, Compliance, Legal, Market Risk Management, Treasury, and Finance, to deliver necessary objectives as required
- Demonstrate basic understanding of interest rate and derivatives and become familiar with the various product type (swaps, caps/floors/collars and futures) including understanding of price/rate settings and cash payment calculations
- Perform daily activities related to OTC derivatives, including but not limited to client onboarding, trade verification, settlements, confirmation and coordinating with counterparties
- Define and document business procedures when necessary
- Become familiar with ISDA definitions related to confirmations
- Input and maintain client data
- Review and approve settlements activity and resolve settlement issues as needed
- Work closely with other members of the Operations team in a collaborative environment
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Develop and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders
- Work on ad-hoc projects, respond to inquiries, and perform other related tasks
Qualifications: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation, relationship building, collaboration attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Understanding of the details and mechanics of OTC products (including futures, Options, and swaps) and an inquisitive mind
- Understanding of banking, markets, industry practices, and market trends
- Two or more years of related experience
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision
- Undergraduate degree in finance or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Calypso, MarkitWire, Tri Optima and Bloomberg is a plus
