Description

SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Campus Dining & Event Services Assistant is to maintain a high-level dining experience for students, staff, and external guests. This part-time role, offering up to 29.5 hours per week, provides the flexibility of an afternoon shift and the option to take summers off, making it ideal for those seeking a balanced work-life schedule. The Hospitality Specialist will assist in the operation of campus food services at Clancy's (student dining) and support all Cleary University internal and external public events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Set up the student dining room and event spaces, ensuring hospitality and service standards are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and maintained to high cleanliness standards throughout shifts.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including storing reusable goods, cleaning equipment, and organizing spaces.
  • Act as a liaison with kitchen staff to maintain proper food service temperatures and replenish food items as needed during events.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and university regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma required; two years of experience in food service operations preferred.
  • Must be available afternoons and early evenings, until 8pm.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet research.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and work in a moderately noisy environment.
