Copper Cellar Family of Restaurants Event Manager - Sevier Co. Job Summary: The Copper Cellar Event Manager will plan and lead this position's daily workflow and operational efficiency in an ongoing effort to increase store sales and profitability and provide quality customer service. The Area Director of Catering and Events will directly supervise this position, with additional reporting lines to the Sevier County Restaurant Area Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities: - Serves as the gatekeeper for inquiries and bookings for all private dining rooms, company event spaces, off-site full-service catering, and drop-offs for all mountain store locations.
- Oversee the entire process from the beginning of communications and booking through the execution of events.
- This position follows a schedule submitted weekly to the Director of Catering. Holidays and special events may require adjustments. Changes to the published schedule must be approved by the Area Director of Catering and Events.
- Actively promote and pursue opportunities for the Event Center, Off-Site catering, and private dining in restaurants
- Serve as point person and coordinator for all exclusive or premier venue partners such as Music Road, Edgewater, and Riverstone.
- Pursue new business partnerships with other venues and chapels.
- Will prepare for the Director of Catering/SAD a synopsis of needs, events, and any other event-related communication for the coming week.
- Will hold Event Team meetings on a bi-weekly basis or as needed. These meetings will be for organizational and "same page" communication with focusing, improving, and upgrading Event Team execution - both in service and profitability.
- Conducts semi-annual 1-on-1 developmental appraisals for all hourly staff and supervisors. These must be done in a timely, constructive, and developmental manner.
- Is responsible for the review and certification of payroll and distribution on TipHaus for Events Payroll.
- Is responsible for hiring, all event scheduling, discipline, and termination of Team Members as required in line with all company procedures and practices.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and experience on an ongoing basis.
- Ensures a consistent, efficient, pleasant customer service-oriented experience; resolves all customer service issues, complaints, or requests.
- Continually seeks and identifies methods to increase event sales and profitability; makes recommendations and/or implements changes as appropriate.
- Directs and leads all staff assigned to the Events Team; and ensures their understanding and execution of their roles before, during, and after every event.
- Collaborates with restaurant, culinary, and marketing to develop and implement budgets, sales and production goals, marketing strategies, and future promotions.
- Liaison with Calhoun's Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Cherokee Grill Teams on preparing food, recipes, execution, and staffing for all Music Road catering and drops
- Also includes customization of menus per Guest request.
- Ensures all store facilities' physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness.
- Oversee the implementation of inventory control, proper product levels, expiration rotation, event linen ordering, and display setup.
- Assesses periodic financial reports and product mixes, evaluating performance against goals and implementing improvements and changes as required.

Education and Experience:
- Some college preferred.
- Hospitality Customer Service experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Will regularly be on their feet for extended periods, walking around event spaces and supervising staff.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, such as trays of food, equipment, or supplies, up to 40 pounds.
- Will need to move quickly and efficiently through crowded event spaces, potentially carrying items while navigating.
- Will continually need to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to access supplies or move equipment. Also exposed to hot plates and dishes.
- This job will require a high level of physical stamina to handle the demands of a busy event.
