Description Responsible for supervising the personnel and operation of all casino cashier locations during a given shift. Interface with Tribal Gaming, all departments, and contracted maintenance technicians to coordinate various projects and resolve problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities: - Ensure the smooth operation of all Cage areas on assigned shifts including but not limited to Cage Cashier bankrolls, and ticket redemption units on the floor, the vault, and any other Cage Operated areas
- Implement department goals to improve guest service and financial and operational efficiencies
- Directly responsible for giving direction, coaching, and performance appraisals to all Cage Supervisors and Casino Cashiers
- Processes and approves check cashing to established limits
- Ensures excellent guest service and satisfaction
- Establishes and recommends procedural changes that ensure proper accountability of funds
- Provides assistance to other departments that interact with the cashier department
- Assures compliance with all applicable Tribal gaming regulations and all Federal requirements
- Performs Cashier Supervisor and Casino Cashier duties as needed
- Handles guest disputes, and questions, and serves as a source of information to both internal and external guests
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Performs training and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Casino Controller or Casino Controller
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Five years of related cash management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and 10 key-adding machine
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
- Basic mathematic proficiency
- Able to work a flexible schedule to include various shifts, weekends, and holidays
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
Preferred
- BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field from a four-year accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience of five years in a casino environment
- One year of experience in a managerial capacity
